Digital Marketing Account Manager

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Summary

We’re currently looking for an Account Manager with 2+ years of digital marketing experience to work in our Winnipeg office. This strategic role involves building client relationships through regular, proactive, and value-added communication. You will oversee campaign execution to ensure alignment with client objectives, acting as both an account manager and a project manager. This includes driving account strategy, managing campaigns, and leading team development.

Candidates should be familiar with all aspects of online marketing and be able to show a track record of successful outcomes in account management, digital marketing strategy, and performance.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and monitor ongoing digital marketing campaigns to ensure they align with client goals and expectations.
  • Act as a project manager, coordinating internal teams to ensure timely and effective execution of campaigns.
  • Interface with clients to report on performance, determine their digital marketing strategy, discuss future opportunities, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Develop best-in-class digital marketing solutions for clients based on their goals and objectives.
  • Drive and deliver flawless client service by maintaining exceptional relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Account direction and management, including setting client expectations, project plans, budgeting and forecasting, and overseeing quality and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Prepare for and attend all client and internal meetings, present reports, and maintain daily communication with clients.
  • Research and pursue opportunities for client growth.
  • Create proposals, presentations, and monthly reports.
  • Assist with research and presentations for new business development as necessary.
  • Embrace thought leadership by staying up-to-date on industry news, technology trends, and best practices.

Required Knowledge & Skills

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • A solid understanding of the dynamic interactive marketing industry (marketing principles, web development, measurement and analytics, internet technology, UI/UX, content strategy, etc.) with the ability to “connect the dots” across channels and touchpoints.
  • Experience in project management with the ability to coordinate teams and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • An exceptional work ethic and the willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done while maintaining a supportive, empowering, and positive attitude.
  • Takes initiative to innovate and solve problems without direct supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, along with the ability to be detail- and deadline-oriented while managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to integrate and analyze data from all forms of online media—including paid search, organic search, display, email, social media—to make decisions, optimize accounts, and accomplish clients’ high-level goals.
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX, including best practices, tools, conversion rate optimization, A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Required Education & Experience

  • 2+ years of digital marketing experience
  • Direct experience with PPC, SEO, social media advertising strategy and execution.
  • A proven track record of account management experience
  • Experience in project management and overseeing campaign execution.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Docs product suite
  • Agency Experience is not required but is an asset
